Interaction Style—is the type of interface and the interaction it implies, for example, command line, graphical user interface (GUI), or speech. The most representative examples are:

• Virtual Reality
• Augmented Reality

3. As interaction paradigms are facilitated by interaction styles (and interaction styles facilitate interaction paradigms) what are the relations between the interaction paradigms and styles you selected?

Yes, the paradigms are facilitated by interaction styles. Without paradigms interaction styles couldn’t exist, it helps to dominant and connect with interaction design.

Is interactive media a subset of new media?

When I have read the first question I was very fast to answer by myself absolutely yes. Then I asked my stepfather who is a famous journalist in Estonia and he immediately said that new media enable the term of interactive media. But what is the difference he couldn’t exactly answer. New media has a huge range of what it includes in. But then I have read the presentation where found the slide that interactive media is not the new media. It enables to have dynamic life with new media content and interactive relationships but also interactive media update the old media. It means that interactive media has contribution in mass media in general. This approach is mostly are around digital technology and provides us be in the processes according to different devices. In conclusion I can sum up that interactive media is some kind of part of new media but not the same thing.

Do we drive interactive media or does it drive us?

Nowadays we are hostages of using different devises. We have to be modern, mobile and interactive everywhere. Contemporary society doesn’t like laggards people, where are not in popularity. This big process of globalization we can’t stop. In this case I can say that interactive media drives us because we started to live in new civilization where lead devises and Internet and there are playing the big role. Now it is not under the control anymore.

How is interactive media facilitated and what does it facilitate?

Interactive technologies are around us. We can do with Internet everything: booking tickets or hotels, paying bills, buying food or cloth, make calls to each other. Our possibilities are not limited. There is a big range of options what we are able to do thanks to interactive media. Entire world is in your hands if you have internet next to you. It facilitates every part in our life nowadays.

Timetable plan

For our second NIE task we were asked to create plan about ourselves and demonstrate it in our blogs. At that moment I have 3 main ways of activities in my life and I try to follow them.

Explanation about my activities:

University:

I am studying at Tallinn University and getting the master degree. My profession is "Interactive median and environment". From University I took different 7 subjects. My lessons are: Italian language A.1, Children psychology, Speaking English C.1, Master thesis Seminar, Design Theory, Research methods and Introduction and theoretical foundations of New Media. Other time I am spending at work.

Work:

I am working in Youth Center Vihasoo where I am an international youth worker. My responsibilities are: organize different local and international projects, coordinate volunteers, make up programmes for children and teenagers, advertise various events for youth in social network, make movies, create camp programmes and etc.My work needs from me a lot of improvisation that is why I have never know where I will be on the next week. I try to plan everything but it is possible to have extra projects where you immediately have to pack your luggage and leave.

Favorite hobby:

I have a lot of hobbies but this is the favorite one and which I ma proud of. It is the theater course "Know How" which I am visiting about 6 years. We are creating performances for children and then show it to them. We are participating in different festivals and made a big progress there. We have a lot of certificates and diplomas.

Introduction

Hello everybody!

My name is Darja and I am a student in Tallinn University, Internet faculty, profession - Interactive media and environment. I have a background of Youth local and international work (projects, seminars, training courses, exchanges) and journalism (social network, newspapers, forums, advertisment).

My experience is mostly connected with working with advertising in social network, making photos and videos, creating texts and pictures, organizing events and projects. I am good at social work but have a weak side as programming. Started to study at University is a big challenge to me. I have a very busy timetable but I would like to develop myself in different cases and then use them in practice in my organization. Moreover, I would like to find out more about new media because I am working in it but not good at theoretical part, discover this topic and make research in it.
